Ethical.ink respects your data sovereignty and believes in handling system telemetry, account credentials, and personal information responsibly, proportionately, and in absolute good faith. This document explains what information is collected across our platform, how it is managed, and outlines the strict financial fulfillment and return conditions governing our digital downloads.

1. Corporate Data Controller & Contact

This platform is owned and operated under the structural governance of Samurai Labs. All data access requests, compliance queries, or operational briefs must be directed to:

  • Entity: Ethical.ink / Samurai Labs
  • Attention: Ditio S. Haq (DS Haq)
  • Operational Headquarters: ManjuBari, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh
  • Digital Intakes: Please utilize our official Contact Page or direct correspondence to [email protected].
  • Core Website URL: https://ethical.ink

2. Personal Data We Collect & Native WordPress Interactions

2.1 User Comments and Avatar Integration

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with automated spam detection.

  • An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to verify usage. The Gravatar service privacy policy is accessible here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
  • Upon approval of your comment, your profile picture becomes visible to the public within the context of your published comment.

2.2 Media Upload Safeguards

If you upload images directly to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the platform can potentially download and extract structural location data from any publicly accessible images hosted on the website.

2.3 System-Generated Telemetry and Security Logs

We temporarily process security logs (including network paths and access timestamps) strictly to defend our infrastructure against malicious server attacks and code injection attempts.

3. 🍪 Advanced Cookies & Caching Architecture

3.1 Native WordPress Operational Cookies

  • Comment Convenience: If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These exist for your strict convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again. These cookies persist for one year.
  • Authentication Sessions: If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
  • Login Persistence: When you log in, we establish several cookies to preserve your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies persist for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Selecting “Remember Me” extends your active login status for two weeks. Logging out removes these validation cookies immediately.
  • Publisher Attribution: If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is stored in your browser indicating the post ID of the asset edited. It expires after 1 day.

3.2 Embedded Content from Third-Party Environments

Articles on this platform may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, external tools). Embedded content from third-party websites behaves in the exact same manner as if the visitor had navigated directly to the external website.

  • These external networks may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your direct interaction with that embedded content, including tracking interactions if you possess an active account and are logged into that specific external platform.

3.3 Google AdSense & B2B Ad Networks

To maintain our independent status without relying on restrictive corporate sponsorships, this platform displays contextually relevant advertisements served through Google AdSense.

  • These networks use functional cookies and device identifiers to serve highly specialized B2B advertisements (such as cloud governance tools and compliance infrastructure) matched to your technical profile. We do not sell your personal profile data to these networks.

4. Merchant of Record & Product Fulfillment Policy

4.1 Digital Goods Classification

To maintain absolute compliance with global digital commerce and international tax laws, all financial transactions across this platform are classified strictly as the purchase and fulfillment of Premium Digital Goods. This inventory encompasses downloadable Technical Ebooks, Strategic Architectural Blueprints, System Reference Guides, Database Migration Scripts, and specialized software components (such as WordPress widgets, custom logic plugins, and API wrappers).

4.2 The Paddle Isolation Protocol

All billing processing, international VAT/Sales tax collection, and transaction compliance are securely executed by our authorized Merchant of Record, Paddle.

  • Ethical.ink does not process or store your raw financial account data, credit card numbers, or banking credentials on our local servers.
  • Paddle processes the transaction under their sovereign privacy framework and transmits an automated background webhook confirmation to our on-site database to securely unlock your digital deliverables.

5. Information Products Absolute No-Refund Policy

5.1 Finality of Sale

Because our technical blueprints, relational schemas, database dictionaries, and system manuals are purely digital Information Products, they are instantly delivered, accessed, and consumed upon successful checkout. Once an asset has been systematically dispatched or unlocked, it cannot be physically returned. Therefore, all sales processed via our Merchant of Record are absolute, final, and strictly non-refundable.

5.2 Open Access Core Philosophy

To ensure complete transparency, we make an ample amount of deep-dive architectural data, system analysis, and core structural logic available completely free of charge across our open blog architecture. Paid technical manuals and downloadable database schemas are intended explicitly for enterprise operations, corporate implementations, or businesses requiring production-ready engineering foundations.

6. Data Retention, Rights, and Forensic Security

6.1 Retention Horizons

  • Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
  • Registered Profiles: For users that register on our website via Paid Memberships Pro, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their primary username). Website administrators retain full rights to view and modify that data profile.

6.2 User Data Rights

If you hold an active account on this site, or have left verified comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold. This does not include any data we are legally or structurally obliged to preserve for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

6.3 DRM & Source Integrity Safeguards

To protect the immense thousands of hours of research capital poured into our proprietary systems, all premium downloadable frameworks and schema packages are systematically embedded with unique, hidden, and cryptographically signed forensic identifiers tied to the purchasing account. Any unauthorized public redistribution, commercial repackaging, or unauthorized scraping of these premium assets will be traced back to the source breach to enforce the full legal weight of our intellectual property copyright.
