First of all, thank you for visiting this site, an especially if you’re reading this message. I’ll be direct: everything on this site is independently funded, solo effort. My personal effort, and something that I chose to do for a cause. From the technical side, coding and server maintenance plus literally thousands of hours of deep dive systems analysis and research required to formulate frameworks like PACER, Genesis, and everything else. Apart from using AI as my sounding board, turning my voice notes into blog posts, and validating my work, everything here is original thought. Because, I have something more valuable than AI when it comes to systems risk: lived experience.

But here’s the irony… I never intended to do this work, not to this deep a level. Circumstances forced my hand, because that’s who I am. If you wan’t to know why this site exists, then look no further than this post: Samurai Labs, Bushido, and the Quest for Ethical Intelligence. It all boils down to the fact that, as a father, I couldn’t knowingly stand by and let the world collapse around him. But it’s not just for him. It’s for our future generation.
This is not a commercial enterprise. I’m a full time writer who switched from a lengthy career in IT over decade ago to focus on my writing. But once I saw the way things were going, heard the expert warnings and knew the extent of the problem, I had no choice. I’ve developed systems security policies and data strategies for global banks, so the issue of risk and compliance are highly relevant. That’s why my conscience wouldn’t let me do nothing.
However, maintaining Ethical.ink, refining and publishing the theories, tool, and techniques, developing prototypes for that invaluable experience as well as trying to keep up with my writing isn’t a full-time job. It’s eighteen hour days, seven days a week. And the reason I’m doing this is simple.
There is a dire shortage of independent voices in the AI ethics and risk space. We live in times where it takes a decade to approve a drug for public use, but any civilian can develop and release an AI model that causes real damage on an unimaginable scale. These are potentially planet-altering artificial intelligence architectures to be deployed globally with zero systemic control.
This is an issue that requires uncompromising oversight, non-funded and non-affiliated oversight from independent experts who don’t need to follow the rule book. Who say it like it is, and who suggest a way forward. There are independent researchers like me around the world standing up to meet this challenge, and every one of them requires backing. We cannot stop, because that’s leaving our fate in the hands of a few people in corporate boardrooms who casually speak of the end of the world without saying what they’re doing about it.
I cannot offer you exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, flashy perks, or curated content tiers. What I can offer you is an unyielding commitment to this work—pursued honestly, rigorously, and wholeheartedly. By supporting this infrastructure, you ensure that a critical, independent perspective remains active, visible, and deeply engaged in the fight for systemic safety. Your voice stands directly alongside mine. Some of the content will be gated for higher level members, but the majority of my work will remain Open Source and free for the greater good of all. If you have read this far, then I salute you.
